M.D. Degree

Looking for leaders

Sixty students from Washington are enrolled for the entering year, 2017, out of hundreds of applicants. The college selected students who want to leave a legacy of improving the health of Washington communities throughout the state. To be eligible, applicants must be Washington residents or demonstrate they are “from Washington” by meeting designated requirements.

Once accepted, students spend two years at WSU Spokane, where the College of Medicine will be based. The campus is currently home to the College of Medical Sciences, the College of Nursing and the College of Pharmacy. After two years of classroom study, medical students are assigned to clinical rotations in communities across the state.

Medical students at Vancouver are supervised by the dean of the School of Medicine, Dr. Kevin Murray, and additional faculty members working at WSU Vancouver.
